Beginning in the summer of 2011, my life changed FOREVER. Anorexia had stealthily slithered into my family. Prior to this, I had no knowledge of eating disorder or mental illnesses. Very quickly I learned that anorexia is wicked, insidious, and evil. Up to 30% of sufferers will die, while many others will live in the revolving door of treatment. I had no idea what we were facing, but it was the most intense grief and sadness and fear I have yet to experience. Feeling that someone’s life depended on what decisions you make, is terrifying.
