An initial homeopathic consultation takes from 1 ½ to 2 hours. A Homeopath gathers all the patient’s symptoms including family history, any disturbance in sleep or dreams, digestion, skin, etc. Then the case is studied to find a suitable, matching remedy. It can be prescribed right on the spot or, occasionally, complex cases may need to be studied a while longer. Generally, in my practice, I will let the client know the remedy within 24 hours.
At the age of 15, I began studying the healing arts. In 1972 I began studying oriental diagnosis, the principles of acupuncture, nutritional and herbal medicine. I heard about homeopathy at that time and determined to study it. In college, I studied music, dance, and languages and made a living in the arts and teaching Spanish. I hold a BA in Music and in Spanish and a Master's degree in Spanish earned in Spain through Middlebury College.
