Northern School of Music

Founded in 2003, Northern School of Music is a leading music school in Kolkata, teaching both Indian and Western genres of music on Piano, Keyboard (Synthesizer), Guitar (Classical Guitar, Spanish Guitar, Electric Guitar and Bass Guitar), Violin (both Indian and Western), Drums, Vocal / Singing (both Indian and Western), Dance (Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Rabindra Nritya, Creative Dance), Flute, Tabla and Drawing and Painting. For western classical music, international certification is available from Trinity College London and Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). For Indian music genres, the examination is available from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. Northern School of Music is associated with the living legend Shri Kabir Suman, the man who needs no further introduction. Some of our alumni include Mr. Aviraj Sen, currently a music director in Tollywood and Mr. Rhythm Shaw, an electric guitar specialist known for his performances in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Zee Bangla.
