India's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is a modern, multi-specialty hospital with 675 beds. It now has the reputation of a top medical facility and offers complete Healthcare India services. Due to its reputation for offering patients from Delhi and nearby states the finest calibre of medical care, it is the only hospital in the private sector that has maintained close to 100% bed occupancy.
Sir Ganga Ram (1851–1927), a civil engineer and prominent philanthropist of his era, established the hospital for the first time in Lahore in 1921. The current hospital was built in New Delhi on a block of land that was around 11 acres after the partition in 1947.
