About
As a child my love for animals, dogs and hamsters in particular, inspired me to be a veterinarian. This never came to fruition and I kind of grew out of the hamster thing. Yet my love for dogs never faded, all dogs drew my fancy but pit bulls were my favorite by far.
Before my parents allowed me to have one, they required several hand written and some even typed reports on every aspect of dog ownership. These reports ranged from training to characteristics of different Pit Bull bloodlines.
My research led me to working for a man who owned a Pit Bull kennel and that is where I met my first Rottweiler. He was given to me by the owner of the kennel after someone left him there for whatever reason. It didn’t take long before I noticed differences in the dog’s demeanor especially his guardian instincts. I could take this dog for a walk and he would be the friendliest dog ever.
