Erlotinib is used to treat lung cancer and pancreatic cancer which is sold under the brand name Tarceva. The recommended dosage for non-small cell lung cancer is 150 mg and it is taken on an empty stomach. The recommended dose of pancreatic cancer is 100 mg and should be taken at least one hour before the meal and 2 hours after the meal. Erlotinib was approved by FDA in the US in 2004.
